Like many university clubs and societies, we have a presence at the university’s fresher’s fairs at Bristol, Bath and UWE.
At the Bristol URNU stand, you will be able to meet current members of our unit, who can provide you with an insight into the units activities, and discuss their experiences, and events in which they have partaken. You will also be able to complete an initial application form.
Following the fresher’s fair, you will be invited to an Introduction Evening at the Unit in Bristol. These are informal events, and provide the opportunity for you to meet the staff and other students who together make up Bristol URNU, and find out more about the workings of the URNU through presentations and Q&A sessions.
At the end of the evening, if you are still interested in membership, you will be invited to put yourself forward for formal interview.
The interview will be conducted in front of a panel consisting of our Commanding Officer, a member of the University Military Education Committee and a Commander from Squadron.
Successful candidates will be formally invited to join the unit subject to passing a basic medical and security check.
If you are interested in joining, and miss us at the fresher’s fairs, don’t worry, you can still apply to join by contacting us or completing our application form and returning to us via email or post.
